کمپین ٩٩--- روایت دوم--- دنی/پیمان عارف

توضیح: ایده ساده است. قرار است با نود و نه نفر از افرادی که در پارک زوکوتی (محل تجمع اشغال کنندگان وال استریت در نیویورک) حضور دارند صحبت کنم. روایت هر نفر از چراییِ حضورش در این اعتراض را می شنوم. سپس برای وی روایت یک زندانی سیاسی در ایران را بازگو می کنم. بعد از این گفت و شنود، از وی می خواهم که پوستری برای آن زندانی سیاسی که روایتش را شنیده است طراحی کند. پوسترِ تصویرِ بالا برای پیمان عارف توسط ایشان که نامش دنی بود طراحی شده. اگر خواستید بی اجازه به اشتراک بگذارید.

دنی-- نام من دنی است. دانشجوی کالج سنت لوردز هستم. این جا آمده ام چون احساس می کنم عجیب است که تحصیل این قدر هزینه بر است. احساس می کنم که آموزش باید چیزی باشد که همه مردم از آن برخوردار باشند، چرا که فکر می کنم ما همه حقِ یادگیری داریم. ما باید فرابگیریم که چه بر جامعه ی ما می گذرد. و تصور می کنم دنیا به هم ریخته است وقتی کشتن انسان ها آسان تر و ارزان تر از آموزش آنان است. و من این واقعیت را دوست ندارم. من این جا آمده ام چون ما همه انسان هستیم. با آن که مبارزه های ما متفاوت است اما این واقعیت را که همه در حال مبارزه هستیم نمی شود انکار کرد. می دانی! یا پول نداریم، یا آدم آشنایی در زندگی مان است که در زندان است، یا شغل هایی است که از دست رفته است. ما همه این جا آمده ایم تا صدای مان شنیده شود. با آن که حرف های ما و دیگر جنبش های اجتماعی در سراسر دنیا متفاوت است، اما ما همه چیزی را هدف گرفته ایم. خواه یک نیرو باشد، یک دولت باشد، یک نفر باشد، یا حتی قدرتی باشد که نسبت به آن آگاه نیستیم که ما را درست در همین لحظه زندانی کرده است. هر کدام از ما داستانی داریم. حتی این فردی که دارد از ما عکس می گیرد هم احتمالن داستانی دارد [به خانمی که دارد از ما عکس می گیرد اشاره می کند]. من این جا آمده ام تا به داستان ها گوش بدهم.

 

پیمان عارف دانشجوی نمونه رشته حقوق دانشگاه تهران بود. سه سال پیش و چند هفته قبل از آن که وی از پروژه کارشناسی ارشد خود دفاع کند به خاطر فعالیت های دانشجویی و مدنیِ خود از ادامه تحصیل محروم شد. وی سال گذشته در پی نامه ی انتقادی که به رئیس دولت محمود احمدی نژاد نوشت بازداشت شد. وی در آن نامه نوشته بود: « واقعا به شما (محمود احمدی نژاد) تبریک میگویم. شما در نابود کردن زندگی بهترین و موفق ترین دانشجویان منتقدتان در این ۳ سال کاملا موفق بودید.» همین نامه کافی بود تا دادگاه، وی را خاطر تبلیغ علیه نظام و توهین به رئیس جمهور به تحمل دو سال و نیم زندان تعزیری ، ۷۴ ضربه شلاق و محرومیت مادام العمر فعالیت مطبوعاتی و سیاسی محکوم کند. پوست بدن پیمان عارف از ضربه های شلاقی که بر تنش وارد آمده سرخ شده است. یکی از دوستانش درباره ی وی می گوید: «یادم هست برای اولین بار که پیمان عارف بازداشت شد به شدت مأیوس بود. در جلسه ای که با دانشجویان دیگر داشتیم از تجربه ی سخت زندان گفت به شکلی که من هم به گریه افتادم. همان روز، سخنرانِ جلسه گفت که شما جوان ها نباید این طور مأیوس بشوید. امید راه رهایی ماست. فکر می کنم پیمان از معدود آدم هایی باشد که آن نصیحت را به گوش جان شنید. آدمی شد امیدوار و نترس. به همین خاطر شلاق روی بدنش تأثیر ندارد.» همسر مهربان پیمان نیز به اندازه ایشان سخاوتمند است. وی چندی پیش در نامه ی شکایت آمیزی که به دادستان تهران نوشت آورد: «برایتان از خداوند در سال آینده تلخ کامی آرزو نمی کنم، که ما از رنج و محنت انسانها لذت نمی بریم!» پیمان اخیرن دوباره به خاطر حضور بر سر مزار ندا آقاسلطان، یکی از کسانی که در تظاهرات های ضد حکومتی بعد از انتخابات کشته شد، بازداشت شده است. وی این روزها را در زندان اوین تهران می گذراند.

 

 

Campaign 99--- second narrative--- Danny/Peyman Aref

 

Note: the idea is simple. I have decided to talk with 99 people at Zuccotti Park. I will listen to each person's narrative of why s/he has joined the protest. Then I will narrate the life story of an Iranian prisoner of conscience for that person. After this mutual sharing of stories, I will ask the person to make a poster for that Iranian prisoner. Here are the stories of Danny, the occupier of Wall Street, and Peyman Aref, the Iranian prisoner of conscience. Share if you like


Danny-- My name is Danny. I am student at Saint Lourdes College. I am here because I feel something that is weird is the fact that it costs so much money to educate people. That I feel education should be something that should be given to all people, because we all should have the right to learn. We should learn what goes on in our societies. And I feel the fact that it’s easier and cheaper to kill people compared to educate people is really messed up. And I don’t like that. I am also here for the reason that we are all human. We all have certain struggles, though different, we can all come back to the fact that we have all faced struggles to our life, you know! Whether we do not have money, or there are people in prison we know of, or there are jobs being lost. We are all here to let our voices be heard. Although everything that we and other movements around the world say is different, we are all targeting something. There is something, some force, some power, which could be a government, which could be a single man, which could be a power that we are not even aware of, right now, that is sort of imprisoning us. Each of us has a story. Even this person who is taking a picture right now probably has a story [pointing to a woman who is taking a picture from us]. I am here to listen to the stories.

 

Peyman Aref-- Peyman Aref was a high ranking law student at Tehran University. Three years ago and just a few weeks before the presentation of his Master’s project for defense, he was expelled from university due to his civic and student activism. He was arrested after he wrote a letter of dissent, addressed to the head of the Stat, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. In the letter he said: “I really congratulate you (Mahmoud Ahmadinejad). You have fully succeeded in destroying the lives of your best student opponents and the most successful ones in the past three years. This letter was sufficient for the court to sentence him to two and half years of imprisonment, 74 lashes and life time ban from press and political activities. The skin on Peyman’s body is sore red because of the lashes. One of his friends says:” I remember when Peyman Aref was arrested the first time and he was extremely hopeless. In a meeting with other students he talked about his tough experience in prison, in the way that even I broke out crying. On that day the spokesman of the meeting said that young people shouldn’t lose hope like that. Hope is the only way to freedom. I think that Peyman was one of the few persons who actually listened to that advice from the bottom of his heart. He turned into a hopeful and fearless person. That’s why lashes do not affect him anymore.” Peyman’s kind wife is also as generous as he his. Recently in a letter addressed to Tehran’s prosecutor she said: “I don’t wish you bitterness from god for the year to come, as we do not enjoy seeing the sufferance and pain of other human beings.” Peyman was recently arrested again because he visited the grave of Neda Aghasoltan, one of the persons killed during the post electoral anti-government protests. He spends his time at Tehran’s Evin prison these days.

Danny: Peyman! Fight on! Fight on! And yes! Just fight on! And know that good will come out of this! That for what we are struggling right now we can achieve something amazing through all this
